Sheila V brings you Cornwall Sound Lounge every Tuesday night 7 - 10pm. With live bands each week, the good gig guide and previews/reviews of the best local festivals and music events. Sound Lounge showcases the cream of local and touring musicians of all genres. Tuesday 14th January -
Delighted to have another chat with songbird Sarah McQuaid.Sarah seems to be on a never ending tour, happily she opens the 2020 leg of the tour at home in Cornwall with gigs in Penzance and Bodmin. Sarah enjoyed a brief break over Christmas, but I'm betting she is eager to get back out on tour again!

Very happy to welcome two thirds of 50 Year Storm back to the Lounge. Emma and Andy Limn pop in for a look back at an incredibly busy 2019 with 2020 shaping up to be even busier for this fab rock trio from Newquay.

Tuesday 4th February -
Davey Dodds returns to the studio along with vocalist Colette DeGiovanno. Davey's latest album Toadstool Soup is receiving great reviews and he is currently filling up the 2020 diary with gigs and festivals across the country. Davey has recently moved from Cornwall to the Cotswolds, but his heart is here in Kernow and he is always keen to visit. Colette makes her first visit to the Lounge and shares how she came to be involved with Toadstool Soup.

Based in Bristol, The Hawkmen are strongly influenced by rhythm n blues, northern soul, rockabilly, country and roots. Firm favourites of the one and only Craig Charles, the band bring their live sound to Cornwall for the first time whey the play the Old Bakery on 29th February. Bass player Scott Milsom is on the phone tonight and is pretty excited about their Cornish gig.
Live in the studio - they're back and we're delighted!! Yes, The Rezner boys return with their awesome brand new single 'Wouldn't You Like To Know' streaming this week and a full release on March 13th. 2019 was an incredible year for these young guns, their 2020 diary is already filling up with the headline slot at Kernow In The City on March 7th and a national tour during Feb and March.

Our 2019 Bowie Off was such fun, we thought we would make it an annual event. We welcome back our sponsor Carlton Sandercock of Easy Action Records, last year's winner journalist Lee Trewhela, actor, storyteller, Manga artist, founder of The Bowie Lounge and much more besides Keith Sparrow plus we've added the marvellous Tam Johnstone to the mix - Tam is an amazing musician , performer, artist, designer and video maker. The gloves are off for these 4 Bowie super fans, tune in and find out who comes out as the big Bowie brain this year! As with last year, the questions will be set by our RSAB Quiz Mistress Laura Sandey.

Always a treat to welcome Blue River to the Lounge. The guys stormed through 2019 picking up fans of all stripes, including Huw Stephens, Janice Long and Tom Robinson, but you heard them on Cornwall Sound Lounge first! With another new single about to break our surf punk rockers have their sights on an even busier 2020.
