Sheila V brings you Cornwall Sound Lounge every Sunday night 7 - 10pm. With live bands each week, the good gig guide and previews/reviews of the best local festivals and music events. Sound Lounge showcases the cream of local and touring musicians of all genres. Sunday 11th June -
Newquay trio 50 Year Storm make their first visit to the Lounge tonight. The band bring their original and unique electronic sound mixing up rock, Emo and Tarantinoesque vibes.

Sunday 18th June -
On the phone this evening is Ben Dutton who recently took over the role of co-ordinating the Cornish Sofar evenings.
Following on from their enormous success at the recent Festival of Fun, the Blue Angels join us for a chat and some 1940's swing.

Sunday 25th June -
Jack Bartlett makes his first visit to the Lounge with music to cheer all the Mods among us. Jack taught himself the guitar at the age of 14 by studying George Harrison, Dave Davies and Joe Walsh and is strongly influenced by the sounds of the 60's. 

Sunday 2nd July
The Kingstons join us tonight with their contemporary and original Ska/Reggae sound. The Devon band are creating ripples on the music scene, so roll back the carpet and get your skank on.  

Sunday 9th July -

The Queen of Looe Music Festival returns for her annual catch up bringing reams of spreadsheets to share the loveliness of this year's line up. With Jesus & Mary Chain, Lulu, Happy Mondays and 'Tones already announced - we'll have some great music to play you tonight.

Sunday 16th July -
Winston's Awake join us for the first time tonight, the boys have been creating waves on the festival circuit with their unusual sound. Tune in for an acoustic flavour of this interesting duo.

Sunday 23rd July 
A very special programme tonight for all the Metal Heads! Carlton Sandercock of Easy Action Records will be joined by our local metal heroes King Creature to share some extremely rare, and previously unheard, metal tracks, discuss metal and rock music and collectively choose their all time metal Top 20.

Sunday 30th July -
Dave Orton has music  coursing through his blood  and is the man behind SW1TV. Based in Plymouth, Dave uses his online television channel to promote local live music - like Sound Lounge but with videos! We'll be chatting about Dave's history in music and the documentary he has just completed about the local music scene.

Stone Roots are about to drop a brand new EP on us and join us tonight with a taste of their very latest high energy funk pop

Sunday 13th August
The Viewers return tonight with their brand new album Universal Sky.The sudden and tragic loss of Nigel Gray,their friend and producer in the middle of recording the album was a severe blow to the boys, but with strong support and help from Nigel's family the album is finished and dedicated to Nigel.

Sunday 20th August
Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump have created their own original sound with 2 trombones, 2 trumpets, a sousaphone, 2 drumkits and a rapper. Tune in tonight for something completely different and fun.

Godstone have been ripping up a storm locally with their heavy metal sound, tune in tonight for a taste of Godstone metal noise.

It's been a while since The Hoodle were on the Lounge, but we are loving their first album and they're back to to treat us to some live swamp boogie and blues.

Mod band The Stone Faced Wellers return for another live sesh.The boys have had a busy summer and added a new man to the line up. Tune in for awesome covers of classic tracks from The Small Faces, The Jam and Paul Weller and a chat with the boys about our continued love for Mod sounds and their upcoming gig at Tencreek alongside The Foundations, Swinging Blue Jeans and The Dreamers.


Sunday 3rd December -
A warm welcome back to the Lounge for Tim Renwick and Melvina James as Hobson's Chloice. With Tim's terrific musicianship and Melvina's rich, velvet vocals the duo are in constant demand.
