Cornwall Sound Lounge with Sheila V

Sheila V brings you Cornwall Sound Lounge every Sunday night 7 - 10pm. With live bands each week, the good gig guide and previews/reviews of the best local festivals and music events. Sound Lounge showcases the cream of local and touring musicians of all genres. Here's a taster of what's to come on Cornwall Sound Lounge - with loads more planned you can't afford to miss us on Sunday nights 7-10 pm

Sunday 19th March -
Bass guitarist Steve Bingham is on the phone at the top of the show. Steve currently works with Geno Washington and will be in the line up at the Keay Theatre on 16th April. Steve has been in the music business for many years, joining The Foundations in 1970, going on to perform with a raft of great names including Colin Blunstone, Gallagher & Lyle, P.P. Arnold and Ronnie Lane. With Slim Chance, Steve was part of Ronnie's The Passing Show which famously involved circus folk, fire eaters and dancing girls!
Falmouth duo Brytevibes join us with their eclectic range of sound, although "jazz tinged" their music is influenced by a mash up of everything from folk through to punk and beyond.

Sunday 26th March -
Devon's Vivid Vague are a prog/folk trio who started life in 2015 as a grunge rock outfit. Working with, among others, John Cornfield, they have honed their sound into more subtle and delicate tones while retaining some dark edges.

Sunday 2nd April -
Bache return to the Lounge, with a brand new single due for release any day and their first album launching in May the guys have been very busy in the studio with their new material. Catch up with this very popular folk/pop band tonight.

Sunday 9th April -
A blast from the past joins us at the top of the show tonight. John Mears was part of the crew way back in the days of the dear old General Wolfe, the Coliseum and Duporth Holiday Camp. John was a walking encyclopaedia  of rock n roll stories, having been in the thick of things as Keith Moon's friend and chauffeur (amongst other things!) John has since moved away, but thanks to social media, he has been sharing stories and photos online, after months of online nagging, we've finally persuaded him to write a book of his memories.
Record Store day is just a couple of weeks away on Saturday 22nd April, joining us tonight is Pete Willis of Music Nostalgia in Truro. Pete loves his vinyl and music in general, tune in to find out what we can get our mitts on during Record Store Day 2017 and how vinyl sales are finally overtaking CD sales.

Sunday 16th April - No Sound Lounge tonight as we're rounding off our Festival of Fun on the dance floor at the Keay Theatre with Master of Soul Geno Washington & The Ram Jam Band + support from Falmouth Soul Sensation and our very own Ready Steady Mod man Martin Bate! See you there. Book your tickets - www.crbo.co.uk or call 01726 879500
