Sheila V brings you Cornwall Sound Lounge every Sunday night 7 - 10pm. With live bands each week, the good gig guide and previews/reviews of the best local festivals and music events. Sound Lounge showcases the cream of local and touring musicians of all genres. Sunday 15th April -
Dorset based singer/songwriter Rujeiro spends much of his time here in Cornwall, loving the area and our surfing. Rujeiro's music is a mix of soul and roots founded in reggae. If you were at Boardmasters 2016 you may have caught Rujeiro's peformance on Fistral as part of the Beach Sessions.

Sunday 22nd April -
Paul Da Vinci is the original, and unforgettable, voice of the Rubettes' classic hit Sugar Baby Love, Paul joins us on the phone tonight as we look back at his long and successful career and look forward to his appearance at Beat At Tencreek in October with his band The Explosion.
It's been a while since local Music Producer Kerri Wright was on the Lounge. With a new album on release, Kerri drops in for a chat and we give some of her new tracks an airing.
Tonight also sees the launch of a brand new competition to win tickets to Oye Santana at Newquay's Lane Theatre.

Sheila V is celebrating a rather big Birthday today (hiding away trying to forget all about it!). Richard Whitehouse steps in to bring you the usual mix of great local music.

Sunday 6th May -
Milan Webb joins us on the phone tonight ahead of Oye Santana's highly anticipated gigs in Cornwall. The band are critically acclaimed as the finest Santana tribute band in the world, Milan himself has performed across the globe, from intimate pub gigs to Wembley and his guitar solos have been described as ' a performance that takes no prisoners'.
Liam Jordan has worked hard at his craft as a singer/songwriter, spending time in Brighton around the folk clubs before returning to Cornwall. His first single, released earlier this year was warmly received and his self titled album is imminent. Tune in and let Liam's music warm your heart.

Sunday 13th May -
Metal boys Godstone are in the room tonight, in a short space of time the boys have picked up a strong following and their debut EP 'Monument of One' s will be released on April 7th at St. Austell Brewery. Tune in for metal talk and tunes.

Sunday 20th May -
Horses On The Beach should have joined us back in March, but the Beast From The East forced us to cancel the show. Delighted that we could reschedule for their first visit to the Lounge. Based in Falmouth, they are picking up a great following with their modern take on funk and soul. HOTB are treating us to some funky acoustic sounds tonight.

Sunday 27th May -
Kaj Skjervik brings his acoustic guitar and vocals to the Lounge. With his 2017 album release, 'Everybody Thinks You're Great', Kaj has some new songs to share. Witty, talented and in great demand, Kaj has made a name for himself at venues across Cornwall and his gig diary is packed.

Sunday 17th June -
Kitty, Daisy and Lewis continue to delight audiences across the globe, they recently released their 4th studio album and have opened shows for Stereophonics and Richard Hawley amongst other great names. This summer sees them visit Cornwall for 2 festivals - Boardmasters and Port Eliot. Daisy is on the phone this evening for a chat about the band and their music.

Sharp dressed man Jack Bartlett makes a welcome return to the Lounge tonight. Jack's original Mod music continues to secure new fans and he's had a very busy schedule since we chatted a year ago.

A brilliant night planned for all the Mods out there and especially for fans of the one and only Steve Marriott as we welcome back two very special guests; on the phone is John Hellier, the man behind The Darlings of Wapping Wharf Launderette. John is a journalist and well respected biographer, he is also the go to man when film and tv companies are making documentaries about Mod culture. We link John to our studio guest Carlton Sandercock of Easy Action Records - sponsor of Cornwall Sound Lounge. Carlton is a legend in music circles across the country and leads from the front in keeping vinyl not only alive, but cool. John and Carlton are good friends who work together on treats for music fans, their latest project is a vinyl Anthology of Steve Marriott due for release towards the end of the summer. Tune in tonight for rock n roll chat and exlusive airplay of prefiously unheard tracks from Steve Mariott and The Small Faces.

Welsh band Those Damn Crows are picking up a huge following with their hard hitting rock sound, vocalist Shane Greenhall is on the phone tonight ahead of their gig at St. Austell Band Rooms next weekend.

Joanna Cooke has been working hard since her last visit to the Lounge, with a packed gig diary she has somehow managed to release her 3rd E.P. Tune in for some new live tunes and chat.

Sunday 9th December -

The Velvet Echoes had such a great time on their recent visit to the Lounge that we've already booked them in for December! Plymouth's Indie guys are strongly influenced by Brit Pop and Mod.
